COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL COLD STORAGE

In addition to serving food service and retail grocery  businesses, we also provide a equipment packages, design services, and building automation programs for larger production and cold storage areas. We have designed and constructed cold storage areas for beverage distributors such as Bernick's Beverages in St. Cloud (handling Pepsi and Miller Beer) and C & L Distributors (handling Budweiser and allied brands). At C & L, we installed a cold storage section and integrated controls system that allows them direct management and surveillance of their docking and freight transfer areas. Their beverage trucks enter through doors that are automatically opened and closed. When the truck is driven into the docking space, it triggers a heated floor to melt any ice from the undercarriage. Our air handling equipment removes any exhaust fumes and our controls monitor all environmental parameters. At Bernick's, our building automation provides perfect temperature control of the entire transit space. As a result, the 26,000 gallons of beer that pass daily through its doors are maintained at precisely 36 degrees F.

We have built other larger, even more specialized cold storage areas as well. When Bernatello's Pizza in Maple Lake, MN began planning to add a 5,000 sq. ft. cold storage to their plant, they hired St. Cloud Refrigeration to handle the entire project. We selected the right equipment for the job and designed a workspace where food handling requirements and the comfort of employees created an unusual set of specifications. Our design factored in every detail, including the finish of all interior surfaces. Our controls system ensures precision management of the facility's workspace environment.
